This young, fun couple wanted an adventurous elopement somewhere beautiful and tropical. The La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Peace Lodge certainly is that, a hotel and private nature reserve in the foothills of Poas Volcano. La Paz has lots of attractions, including rainforest trails, five waterfalls, and lots of Costa Rica’s amazing wildlife (mainly rescue animals).
The location of the wedding was just stunning, surrounded by rainforest with a beautiful waterfall and river below. Marcelo Galli gave a moving ceremony, and then the couple went down to the base of the waterfall for a quiet moment together. We walked back through the jungle trails to the lodge, where they cut their wedding cake.
We went in the hummingbird garden and had an amazing time. The staff put a couple of hummingbird nectar feeders into the bride’s bouquet,the hummingbirds darted in and out and around the bouquet, a magical moment! We next met a couple of very friendly and cheeky toucans, they were hilarious!
A wonderful wedding at La Paz filled with adventure and laughter!
