It is a huge responsibility to photographing a couple’s wedding day and it is one of the most emotional, intense jobs in the photographic industry. There are no opportunities to re-shoot, so it’s important to get it right first time!
I have been photographing weddings for the past 10 years, and the last 7 years here in Costa Rica. A lot of people that I have met throughout the years think that wedding photography is a glamorous job, it’s not really! But it is one that I am very passionate about, and it is one that you have to put a lot of energy and emotion into. It is very important to connect and get close to your clients, then you will get your clients to feel comfortable and get photographs that reflect who they are.
Meeting or communication with the couple before the big day is an important part of this process. A lot of my clients come to Costa Rica for a destination wedding so time is limited, if we can meet up before it is great, but we can also get to know each other easily with email or phone.

e go over the logistics of the day, plus any special events that I need to look out for, what they might be looking for in the terms of couple and group photographs. Most people admit that they are nervous about being in front of the camera….by getting to know the clients this can make for relaxed and fun photographs..and a fantastic wedding day.
